Black sesame · Names, material and mix-ups
Hei zhi ma means black sesame. PolyU identifies its material as dried ripe seeds of Sesamum indicum. Whole seeds, ground meal, sweetened paste and sesame oil are different forms; a finding about one form does not automatically describe another.
Black sesame · Traditional explanation, with attribution
PolyU lists black sesame as sweet and neutral in traditional terms. The associated traditional organ language is not a demonstrated effect on hair colour or an anatomical organ. We do not reproduce therapeutic indications as food promises.
